Deals Module

Deals are complex business processes that can significantly impact a retailer's cost structure and revenue generation. There are two primary types of deals:

  1. Off-Invoice Deals: These deals affect the cost a retailer pays for goods purchased from a supplier. The discount amount is directly deducted from the cost of the item on the purchase order, allowing the retailer to pay only the discounted cost

  2. Billback/Rebate Deals: These deals generate income from suppliers or partners. The retailer receives rebates or billbacks based on specific criteria, such as purchase volumes or sales thresholds

  • Close Expired Deals (dealcls): This background job closes expired deals to ensure they are no longer active in the system
  • Daily Posting of Deal Income to Stock Ledger (dealday): This process posts the daily deal income to the stock ledger, ensuring accurate financial reporting
